Stanley Robert McIntosh of Chancellor, AL passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 77.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Reverend Dr. J. Chris Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
The family request that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to Kindred Hospice, 1200 Rucker Blvd, Enterprise, AL 36330.
Mr. McIntosh was born in Schenectady, NY on September 11, 1939 to the late Robert and Pearl Baim McIntosh. Mr. McIntosh was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. In his spare time he enjoyed working in his shop and spending time with his family. He taught his grandchildren the value of hard work by working countless hours in his lawn care business. In his younger years he was an avid hunter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Sheila M. McIntosh of Chancellor, AL; four daughters, Tina Weinlein of Charlotte, NC, Michele Boyd (David) of Troy, PA, Kim Smeaton (Charles) of Schenectady, NY, and Lynn Johnson (Michael) of Chancellor, AL; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
